TEC Economic Impact of the Creative Economy 2025

The numbers are in, and they speak for themselves! In 2024, Tennessee's vibrant entertainment production and music industry clusters generated an estimated $8.2 billion for our state's economy.

 

This incredible growth translates directly into opportunity for Tennesseans, with the industry creating $3.7 billion in new earnings for workers last year alone. And it's not just music – our motion picture and video production industry is booming, generating an estimated $728 million in 2024, a massive 43% increase over the past five years!

 

With over 23,700 jobs across nearly 1,500 business locations, Tennessee's music cluster continues to be a national leader. The Tennessee Entertainment Commission is proud to support and grow this vital sector, ensuring a prosperous future for our state.
